New set-up experience

When you’re in your free trial period, the dashboard is changed to our new set-up experience. We’ve added things to explore, your next actions and more to learn.

In your trial period, you can initiate the full new set-up experience by clicking the button ‘Start the new initial set-up experience’. This will guide you through some questions that are used to set-up your environment. This set-up includes the project milestones from start to certification!

Note: when you’re not in your trial period anymore, this set-up cannot be started but you can see the new view by choosing Help / Welcome – the first steps. There are valuable resources for all new users.

During the set-up, you can enable our new AI Assistent (read more about it later) that can create a project document based on your answers.

Each milestone that is created will give high level guidence and can be easily managed in the new timeline view (read more about it later).

New AI Assistent

This release marks the start of introducing AI features into ISOPlanner for Business and Premium subscriptions. Of course, AI is completely turned off by default. Your data is completely secured and private within the Microsoft ecosystem.

Please read everything about safety and privacy here.

You can turn it on in the Administration / Automation section. Our AI Assistent can help you create the initial setup document and can help you fill in risk details like the Threat, Consequences and can suggest Controls for risk mitigation.

New timeline view for tasks

We’ve added a new timeline view for tasks for an easy overview. Activate it in the View menu. In the timeline, you can zoom in/out with your mouse wheel and drag the timeline left and right. You can select tasks and drag them to a new start date or change the deadline by making the task wider. Tasks are grouped in lanes for unique combinations of tags. You can drag tasks to another lane which will change the tags.

In the management section of tags, you can set a Task category for each tag. When set to ‘Project’, tasks with this tag are always shown in this lane, regardless of other assigned tags. For example, create the following tags:

* Project A : 1. Preparation

* Project A : 2. Implementation

Now you can easily add these tags to the tasks and see them in seperate lanes in the timeline.

New task status ‘On hold’

We added a new task status ‘On hold’ that can be used to mark tasks that should be delayed or wait for some reason. In this status, the task can stil be over deadline and notification will be send.

Filter tasks on tag groups

For various use cases and for the new timeline, it is very handy to filter tasks not only on specific tags but on a whole group of tags. In the screenshot, you’ll see that the timeline is filtered on tasks of tag group ‘Project’.

Filter for period in dashboard widgets

For the following dashboard widgets, a new filter can be set-up to select the period for which the tasks are shown:

* Number of tasks per value in a tag group

* Number of tasks per status

* Open tasks per user
